1. Who controls your data

Synaptic is the controller for personal data handled directly through the Synaptic website, licensing service and desktop application. Synaptic operates from the United Kingdom. To contact us about privacy or exercise a data-protection right, use our official Discord support channel.

2. Data we use

• Purchase and entitlement data: Whop membership, product and plan identifiers, licence key status, purchase status, and limited account identifiers supplied by Whop.
• Discord account data: Discord user ID, username, avatar and relevant Synaptic role status when you connect Discord or request support.
• Licence and device data: a device identifier, app version, operating system, licence status and security/integrity information needed to activate and protect the software.
• Operational data: connection state, protection state, selected account profile, error/activity events and limited trading-operation telemetry needed to run, diagnose and secure the service.
• Support data: information you choose to provide in a Discord ticket.
• Technical requests: hosting and security providers may temporarily process IP address, request time, browser/device information and requested URL in standard server logs.

We do not intentionally collect special-category data, sell personal data, or use the public website for behavioural advertising.

3. Purposes and lawful bases

• Contract: taking payment, issuing and validating access, operating requested product features, updates and support.
• Legitimate interests: preventing fraud and abuse, securing Synaptic, diagnosing faults, enforcing plan entitlements and keeping proportionate operational records.
• Legal obligation: retaining transaction or compliance records where UK law requires it.
• Consent: only where we introduce an optional activity that legally requires consent. We currently do not run optional advertising or analytics trackers on the public site.

Where information is required to provide a licence or connected feature, not providing it may mean that feature cannot operate.

4. Who receives data

We use Whop for checkout, payment and membership delivery; Discord for connected-account roles and support; Vercel for website and API hosting; and the published installer-storage provider for software delivery. These providers process data under their own terms and may process it outside the UK. Their contractual safeguards and applicable UK adequacy arrangements govern those transfers.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or during a legitimate business transfer.

5. Retention and security

Active licence and entitlement records are retained while access is active. Revoked licence and transaction records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting and legal duties. Operational activity is limited in the service and older entries are rotated. Support information remains subject to Discord’s retention controls and is removed when no longer needed.

We use access controls, signed webhooks, restricted administrator routes and protected licence records. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

6. Your UK data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Contact us through Synaptic support. We may need to verify your identity.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. We would appreciate the opportunity to resolve your concern first.

7. Children and changes

Synaptic is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We may update this policy when the product, providers or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
